Based on its monitoring data of the global mobile market, Insightrackr releases the June 2026 Global AI Social App Rankings for Downloads and Revenue.
This edition of the rankings is based on Insightrackr’s estimated app downloads and total revenue (IAP + IAA), forming the Top 15 AI social apps by downloads and the Top 15 AI social apps by revenue. This report further analyzes core products across ad spend pacing, channel structure, geographic distribution, and ad creative strategies.
This month’s featured case studies include: Kawaii AI、MingloTalk、Dear Chat.
Top 15 AI Social Apps by Downloads
Emochi stayed No. 1 in downloads, despite a 13.51% MoM decline. BIMOBIMO rose to No. 2 with 17.74% MoM growth, while Kawaii AI climbed to No. 3 with 44.78% MoM growth. The top of the chart remained familiar, but the growth pattern was less concentrated among the largest apps.
The strongest gains came from the middle of the ranking. Dream Girl jumped 19 spots to No. 5, up 441.40% MoM. MingloTalk rose 8 spots to No. 7, up 215.70% MoM. Cycle AI reached No. 8 with 46.68% MoM growth.
These movements suggest that AI social users are responding to more specific product promises. Apps framed around AI girlfriends, AI partners, emotional companionship, and roleplay-driven character interaction scaled faster than broader chat products. Clearer positioning also gives ad creatives a sharper hook: users can immediately understand the type of relationship or emotional scenario the app offers.

Several established apps moved in the opposite direction. Character AI, Sea Soul, Saylo, Dootchi, and Weifu AI all declined in downloads. Dootchi and Weifu AI each dropped 4 positions, showing that prior download momentum can fade quickly when campaign performance slows or user acquisition becomes less efficient.
LunaAI entered the ranking at No. 13 with extremely high MoM growth. This likely reflects rapid expansion from a low base, but it also shows that new apps can still break into the category when acquisition volume ramps up quickly.
Overall, June’s download ranking points to a market where attention is still available, but it is shifting toward apps with sharper emotional use cases.
Top 15 AI Social Apps by Revenue
Revenue performance was much softer than downloads.
Character AI and Emochi kept the top two positions, but both declined sharply. Character AI fell 39.46% MoM, and Emochi fell 35.33% MoM. Their ranking positions still point to strong monetization bases, while the declines suggest pressure across subscriptions, in-app purchases, and ad revenue.
Only Cycle AI and TiKie grew revenue in the Top 15. Cycle AI was the standout, rising 5 spots to No. 3 with 29.84% MoM growth. TiKie grew 1.61% MoM, a smaller but still notable gain in a weak revenue month.

Several apps rose in rank while revenue declined, which points to broad category pressure. Dootchi moved up to No. 4 while revenue fell 34.73% MoM. Dokichat ranked No. 5 with revenue down 45.76% MoM. Saylo and Sea Soul also declined, with Sea Soul down 82.68% MoM, the steepest drop among the leading apps.
The gap between download growth and revenue performance is the main signal from June. Paid acquisition can still push an app up the download ranking, but converting that traffic into durable engagement and paid value remains harder. Apps with strong character hooks may generate installs quickly, while monetization still depends on retention, repeat interaction, and how effectively the product turns emotional interest into paid behavior.
Top AI Social App UA Strategy Analysis
01 Kawaii AI: Chat AI Girlfriend
Kawaii AI, published by Black King Bar, focuses on AI girlfriend companionship. It ranked No. 3 in downloads in June, up 44.78% MoM, making it one of the strongest performers near the top of the download chart.

Its campaign activity peaked twice from late May to early June, then settled into a lower, steadier pattern. This suggests a period of stronger testing or scaling, followed by a more controlled delivery phase.
Excluding ad library data, Mintegral accounted for 77.77% of tracked ad traffic. Unity followed at 17.08%, and Fyber accounted for 4.77%. The channel mix was concentrated, with Mintegral acting as the main acquisition engine.
Downloads came mainly from India, the Philippines, and Mexico. Revenue was led by the United States, the Philippines, and Mexico. This gives Kawaii AI a mixed market structure: emerging markets contribute volume, while the United States and selected international markets contribute more revenue value.

Kawaii AI’s creatives sell intimacy and easy emotional access. One creative direction uses realistic female companion visuals, close framing, and soft domestic settings to create a sense of closeness. Another uses stylized 3D characters and topic prompts, making the product feel lighter and more playful.
The creative logic is straightforward: show an AI companion that feels available, responsive, and emotionally easy to approach. The ads spend little time explaining features because the emotional promise is the main hook.
02 MingloTalk:AI Character Chat
MingloTalk, published by Brad Schulte, was one of June’s fastest download movers. It reached No. 7, up 215.70% MoM.

Its campaign activity accelerated in mid-June and scaled sharply in the second half of the month. The curve suggests that the app may have moved from testing into a more aggressive scaling phase once creatives or channel performance started to work.
Excluding ad library data, AppLovin contributed 88.14% of tracked ad traffic, with AdMob at 11.86%. This was a highly concentrated channel strategy, and the download jump suggests that AppLovin was central to MingloTalk’s June breakout.
The United States was the app’s strongest market across targeting, downloads, and revenue. It contributed 52.93% of revenue, followed by Germany and Russia. This alignment between spend, installs, and revenue suggests a more focused growth model than apps that rely mainly on lower-cost install markets.

MingloTalk’s creatives center on male AI characters, care, and romantic tension. One format uses lines like “Still up working?” and “Don’t forget to rest,” giving the user an immediate feeling of being noticed. Another uses direct conflict, such as “WHERE WERE YOU!”, to create emotional intensity and relationship drama.
The app sells a relationship scenario with a specific character. This makes the user journey easier to understand: open the app, meet a character, and enter a relationship dynamic. That clarity likely supports both click-through and install intent.
03 Dear Chat - Feel the Love
Dear Chat, published by ASDA TREASURER, ranked No. 14 in downloads, up 13.50% MoM. Its overall scale was smaller than Kawaii AI or MingloTalk, but its acquisition and market structure were distinctive.

Its acquisition was highly concentrated. Excluding ad library data, Mintegral accounted for 96.65% of tracked ad traffic. This indicates a clear reliance on one primary network for user acquisition.
Targeting focused on Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Downloads came mainly from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. Revenue was led by the United States, followed by Pakistan and Egypt.
This distribution suggests that Dear Chat may be using emerging markets to build install volume, while the United States contributes a larger share of monetization. The gap between download markets and revenue markets is common in AI social apps, where low-cost installs and high-value payers often come from different regions.

Dear Chat’s creatives use familiar social cues. Incoming-call formats create urgency and presence, making the AI feel like someone actively reaching out. Chat-based formats frame the AI as a caring friend who can also become a romantic companion.
The hook is direct: someone is reaching out, someone cares, and the relationship can start immediately. This lowers the user’s cognitive load and makes the product promise easy to understand within the first few seconds of the ad.
Taken together, June's data shows that a sharp emotional hook can still win downloads fast, but it rarely wins revenue on its own. Teams running these campaigns should track install and revenue trends for the same creative separately, and keep scaling only the versions that hold up on both.
